COULD YOU BE CLOVER’S MATCH?

Clover’s mum Cary was found at the dump pregnant and taken back to the shelter. She gave birth at the shelter, hiding her babies under the pen.

When Clover and her siblings were moved into a pen, Cary, shy and fearful of humans,  wouldn’t go in with them out of fear initially. Summoning her courage though she managed to break into the play area to get to their pen, coming in running despite her fear and checking on each of her pups individually after only 24 hours apart. Safe at the shelter and with such a good mama looking after them, they have grown into playful, curious pups.

Are you feeling lucky? Meet four leaf (more like four legged) Clover.

Clover is quite shy, so while she’s happy to approach people and accept treats and pets, she’s happiest surrounded by her siblings playing in the pen. When opening up their play area, Clover did explore and run around the whole play area and enjoyed sticking with her troop.

This sweet girl went on her first walk with our volunteers, and while at first she was unsure, once a treat trail appeared, she was happy to follow and move around with her harness & lead on. Food is definitely the way to this little lady’s heart and can help her grow in confidence.

Clover is the most nervous of the Nature litter, and more reserved in comparison to her siblings in terms of playing, but she very much liked to explore. Whilst she liked to observe more to start with, given time she would join in regardless of the activity. If her big brother Dill was there she felt much braver! And if it was time for a puppy nap pile then you would usually find her snuggled up to Dill.

Based on her assessment we feel she would really benefit from a confident resident dog that can show her the ropes and allow her confidence to grow.
