Spay and Neuter
Rescuing and rehoming stray and unwanted dogs is valuable and important work, but it doesn’t address the root issue.
There are more than 200 million stray dogs globally. The population will continue to grow unless we proactively tackle the problem.
Help us make lasting change.
Through our Spay and Neuter campaign, we fund the cost of any dog or cat to be spayed/neutered. This may be stray dogs and cats that local people find and bring in, or those who are kept as pets. Along with any of the dogs or cats taken on by DoGood.
We strive to educate the local communities alongside this campaign and Elisa - our shelter partner - works hard to spread the word amongst the locals about this movement.

Campaigns such as this are the best way to tackle the stray dog problem head on, and for just £25 a dog can be spayed; this includes their surgery and aftercare, preventing many more unnecessary abandoned animals roaming the streets.
Since Lucky’s Legacy was founded, we have spayed over 3200 cats and dogs through our campaign. According to PETA, that would equate to over 70 million cats and dogs potentially prevented from being born on the streets of Romania.
If you would like to help us in this movement, please use the donate button and add ‘SPAY’ as your payment reference. We cannot thank you enough for your generosity.
