Elisa was born in Romania but then spent many years growing up and living in the US. She returned to her native country in 2015 with her husband, to set up a blueberry farm in Northern Romania.

Having witnessed the volume of stray dogs on the street, Elisa couldn’t stand back and watch, so she and her husband turned part of their land into a dog shelter - Do Good Romania - and have not stopped rescuing dogs (and cats) since.

Elisa’s passion and love for animals is clear to see and hear in her interactions with them.
