Dill’s mum Cary was found at the dump pregnant and taken back to the shelter. She gave birth at the shelter, hiding her babies under the pen.

When Dill and his siblings were moved into a pen, Cary, shy and fearful of humans,  wouldn’t go in with them out of fear initially. Summoning her courage though she managed to break into the play area to get to their pen, coming in running despite her fear and checking on each of her pups individually after only 24 hours apart. Safe at the shelter and with such a good mama looking after them, they have grown into playful, curious pups.

The name Fleur is commonly translated into flower, but did you know it also means strength and resilience? Our little Fleur is true to her name, as beautiful as a flower with the strength and resilience to match. After her difficult start alongside her mama and siblings, Fleur is blooming at the shelter and is ready to be rehomed. 

From day one Fleur has been at the front of the queue to explore, greet and warm the socks off everyone she meets. She has a very special way with people, and she is always the first one to greet you with a wagging tail and a nuzzle, eager for belly rubs and attention. She accepted all body parts being touched and was eager to have her tummy stroked, the best kind of fuss. 

Like all the puppies, Fleur enjoyed treats taking them from the ground and human hands which helped to reinforce her confidence whilst the volunteers were there. Just watch out she might just go rooting through the treat bag!

She took to her harness with no issues at all and we believe will make a great little explorer. Both her first and second walk were a success and she quickly started running around with it on and playing with the lead. 

She’s the ultimate mix of adventurous and affectionate - a perfect match for an active family, who also loves a cozy cuddle.
