Logan’s rescue story is one of quick thinking and a Mum’s love. Nelu found Coco (Logan’s mum) at a beer factory. He knew she had recently had pups so instead of taking her away and leaving her pups without a mum, he popped a small bell around her neck so he could hear where she was going, released her and she led him to where her pups were.

This handsome, long-haired chap is ready to find his forever home and we hope we are able to do him justice in his write up. Logan is currently at our UK based kennel in Rotherham after a short time in foster.

LOGAN’S STORY

COULD YOU BE LOGAN’S MATCH?

Logan enjoys affection and will come over if he sees you crouching to the ground. He can be a bit excitable at first but loves affection initially on his chest and neck and after a few minutes is happy for you to stroke him all over.

Logan really enjoys the company of other dogs, he loves to play and matches the energy levels of the dogs he is surrounded by very well. He has lived in a home with other dogs without issue.

Logan is very food motivated which makes him a perfect candidate for a family who are committed to helping him reach his full potential with structured training.

On his walks at the kennel, Logan has been working on his lead walking to minimise any frustration he feels when he encounters other dogs. His heel work is coming on leaps and bounds and we can absolutely see him on long weekend walks; exploring and paddling in streams and reservoirs. He loves to bob for treats in the water!

Logan would be comfortable living in most environments as long as there was access to large green spaces for him to explore.

Logan does have a drive to chase things and was incredibly interested in the cats he met at the shelter. He doesn’t mean any harm, but any new home will need to be prepared for this. Because of this, we would prefer a home without cats, but if there are feline friends in the home, Logan’s new family will need to be prepared to do a lot of training on this and there will need to be enough space initially to separate the cat(s) and Logan.
