COULD YOU BE LOGAN’S MATCH?

Logan’s rescue story is one of quick thinking and a Mum’s love. Nelu found Coco (Logan’s mum) at a beer factory. He knew she had recently had pups so instead of taking her away and leaving her pups without a mum, he popped a small bell around her neck so he could hear where she was going, released her and she led him to where her pups were.

Update from Logan’s foster family:

“This handsome rogue is ready to find his forever home. Logan is currently living in a foster home to prepare him for the rest of his life. Logan enjoys the company of other dogs; he loves to play but can get over excitable if allowed. He takes direction during these moments of overarousal very well and settles back down without complaint. He currently lives in a home with a resident dog with no issues.

Logan is food motivated which is great for training but can be picky with what he will work for. He loves dog pate, paste and sausages but anything biscuit based he will turn his nose up at.

Logan is house trained, crate trained, muzzle trained and can be left for up to 4 hours. He settles well in the home, doesn’t guard food for people or dogs and isn’t destructive. He hasn’t shown much interest in toys, he would much rather be showered in attention and affection. He enjoys being groomed and tolerates having his nails filed well. He knows commands like “sit”, “come”, “bed” and “down” and would be eager to learn more in his new home.

Logan has been working on his lead walking and his heel work is coming on beautifully. He absolutely loves long weekend walks but is happy with shorter walks too. He will also happily walk solo and in a group setting. His recall on walks is something that would improve as a bond is built with his new owners. He is currently given some freedom via a flexi lead and he doesn’t pull when on it. When he reaches the end of the lead he self corrects and slows down, or will turn and come back to you.

Logan would be comfortable living in most environments so long as there was access to green spaces for him to explore. He is confident boy who takes everything in his stride. Logan values affection and attention above all else and this has caused some conflict in his life. His new family will need to take on board all advice given in how to help Logan develop bonds with all members of the family as he has a history of hyper attaching to one person in the household and struggling to bond with the others. His current fosterer is making great progress with this and as a result he has bonded well with both foster parents.

Logan has a history of a drive to chase things and was incredibly interested in the cats he met at the shelter. He has not a met a cat here in the UK so has not been cat tested.”
