COULD YOU BE MEADOW’S MATCH?

Meadow’s mum Cary was found at the dump pregnant and taken back to the shelter. She gave birth at the shelter, hiding her babies under the pen.

When Meadow and her siblings were moved into a pen, Cary, shy and fearful of humans,  wouldn’t go in with them out of fear initially. Summoning her courage though she managed to break into the play area to get to their pen, coming in running despite her fear and checking on each of her pups individually after only 24 hours apart. Safe at the shelter and with such a good mama looking after them, they have grown into playful, curious pups.

Meadow by name, Meadow by natural beauty. This girl is beautiful in looks and in personality to match! She is a confident dog little tyke, but not overbearing and she interacted well with all the volunteers and her siblings. She was human friendly and approached the volunteers with or without food. She didn’t run from being picked up and sought out affection from them.

She is very playful, enjoying running around, up and down the corridor and exploring any new environment. Her first priority is always running over to greet the volunteers and stay for a fuss before running off again to play.

This precious girl loves her food and would regularly stick her head in the food pouch, if the service was too slow from our volunteers! Despite her love for food, she would happily share it without any issues with her fellow pups. Best thing after a great meal? She loves nothing more than napping with her belly full. She was usually the first one to doze off at the volunteers feet, whilst her siblings were clambering over her and disturbing her beauty sleep.

Meadow took a minute to adjust to having the harness on and during her first walk was able to take in her new environment and interact with the volunteers. During her second walk it was like she had always worn a harness and was straight off exploring!

Meadow does have her little quirks. She loved playing with the cabbage and cardboard, tearing it up with her siblings, but she didn’t know what to make of the dog toys. However with time we think she would grow to like them when she knows what they are for!
