Reed’s story began with his mum, Cary, who was found pregnant at a dump and brought to the safety of the shelter. A shy and fearful soul, Cary gave birth to her puppies in the shelter, tucking them under the pen for extra protection. At first, Cary was too scared to join her pups when they were moved to their own pen, but her love for them outweighed her fear. In a moment of pure bravery, Cary broke into the play area, running straight to her babies and checking on each one as if to say, “I’ve got you.” Thanks to Cary’s love and the shelter’s care, her pups grew up healthy, curious, and playful. 

Now, let’s talk about Reed – our gorgeous boy! 

Since arriving at his foster home in Yorkshire in November, Reed has blossomed into a sweet, loving pup who’s ready to find his forever family. This little guy is a true cuddle connoisseur who adores snuggling up on the sofa with his humans. He might be shy when facing new situations, but his bravery shines through every day. Take the stairs, for example – at first, they were terrifying, but Reed conquered them like a champ! 

Reed gets along brilliantly with his foster sister and loves playing in the garden or exploring on walks. He’d be happy in a home with another playful dog, but he’d also thrive as the solo pup soaking up all the love. He’s even great with cats! As a growing puppy, Reed is still mastering his manners, so he’ll need gentle guidance when he’s being a bit too enthusiastic with doggy pals. 

What else is Reed great at? 

Reed sleeps through the night in his crate happily, and is making huge strides with his toilet training (he's very almost there and will always go outside, he just needs to learn how to ask when he needs!) He is great at walking on the lead and exploring the big, exciting world one 

step at a time. Loud noises can startle him, but Reed is growing in confidence every day. With time, patience, and plenty of love, there’s no limit to what this brave boy can achieve. 

Reed has come so far in such a short time and has captured the hearts of everyone lucky enough to meet him. Now, he’s ready to capture yours.
