Albi, Protector.

Our beautiful boy came into our care back in Spring 2020. He was rescued alongside Anouk and her litter of puppies; affectionately known as The Rainbow Pups. His job on the streets was to keep them safe and to allow Anouk to raise healthy puppies until the day they were all rescued. He did his job beautifully.

Anouk and her pups all found homes but unfortunately, the first couple of years Albi spent on the streets took its toll. He was terrified of people and although incredibly gentle, did not want to interact with humans. 

For 2 and a bit years we scratched our heads thinking what would be the best solution for our sweet boy. Finding him a home was an option but would he truly be happy? Some dogs you know will learn to trust with time but Albi just wanted to be with other dogs, left to live out his days in peace. We tried but there simply was not a home experienced enough for his needs.

He, along with Magic, are the faces behind Elder Paws; our forever sanctuary for those dogs too nervous, too old or too unwell to travel to a home. We will always do what is in the best interests of our dogs and Elder Paws provides Albi with space to roam, food, safety and warmth. He can choose not to interact with people and can be with other dogs like Baloo, his pal.

We aren’t actively looking for homes for Albi but we would love sponsorships to help us continue to pay for his care. Sponsorships help us to pay for food and medical care as well as updates to Elder Paws.
