RINGO’S STORY

Ringo was found with his brother Domino on the side of a rural, high speed road on the outskirts of Solca, Romania. Elisa was en-route to dropping some of her dogs to the happy bus and spotted the boys on the roadside.

COULD YOU BE RINGO’S MATCH?

Ringo is a strikingly beautiful shepherd mix with the most gentle temperament. He shares a pen with his brother and two small, older females. The females rule the roost and despite his size, Ringo does not use his weight to push the girls around. Quite the opposite!

He is friendly and curious but still quite timid around people, and we believe will be the same in new environments. Because of this, we feel a home with a confident, resident dog would be of huge benefit to him set in a quieter location. A home without children or with older, dog savvy children would also be best, due to their large size and timid nature. Ringo can be cat tested on request.

He enjoys treats but is not pushy when taking them around others and has no issues sharing. He is a little unsure of people and will need a home where trust can be built over time, as well as a secure garden for toileting while he builds up his confidence to go for a walk in the outside world. Ringo has recently been introduced to a harness and lead and although uncertain, he walked a little with regular breaks when overwhelmed to receive a fuss. When out of the busy shelter and on the quieter paths, he was accepting of affection and enjoyed lots of gentle strokes, really nuzzling into Elisa.

We cannot wait for this gentle polar bear to find his forever home. If you think you could be Ringo’s perfect match, please complete our adoption form and express your interest in Ringo. You can fill out our adoption form here.
