Mike was found in a town close to Solca. His mum was owned by a local family and they contacted us to take her puppies; Mike and his 3 siblings. We agreed to do so if they allowed us to spay their mum, which we did. She was returned to the family and the puppies were taken to the shelter.

The world got very lucky when Mike arrived back in January 2024. He is absolutely everything you could ever want in a companion. He is friendly towards all he meets; dog, cat and human. 

To say this young pup has had little exposure to lead walks, the few he has been on, he excelled and passed all tests with flying colours. He loves to interact with people and will follow you regardless of whether you have food on you or not. If you crouch down, he will be straight into your lap for a cuddle, before heading off to explore his environment. 

He gets on well with other dogs and can live with or without them. His confident, calm nature means he will thrive whether he has a canine companion or not. 

He loves to learn and we think he would really benefit from a family who are interested in attending training classes and teaching him little tricks at home. He is a young dog and although he isn’t boisterous, will still require 2 walks a day to ensure he is gaining exposure to the outside world. 

One of the things our team did while out in Romania was create little human identities for all our rescues and this is a snippet of what we thought suited Mike!

“Mike would definitely be a surfer dude! Cool, calm and loves an adventure. He would be a popular kid but not one that limits himself to one social group, he would be a friend to all. He’s the guy that everyone looks up to in school and is a creative, clever soul. Good at everything, but not in an annoying way”

We are looking for a home for Mike that will build on his already incredible temperament and character. Where adventures and trips out and about are high on the agenda.
