Wes arrived at the Shelter with his mum and siblings in May 2022. His mum was very gentle and gave her pups the very best start in life before securing herself a home in the Netherlands.

So, that was then and this is now … do you have a space for a gentle, loving, independent chap that goes by the name of Wesley? 

His friends call him Wes but when he’s meeting his potential forever home we think he’d offer a gentle handshake and with a big smile he’d say ‘Hello, nice to meet you, I’m Wesley’ …

He’s a friendly chap, who seeks human interaction but is just as happy to go off sniffing on his own and he’ll report back to tell you what he’s found. He really enjoyed his regular time in the play area with our volunteers so we’d like to see him in a home where he’ll have plenty of opportunity for regular interaction (both humans and dogs after correct introductions). 

He currently lives with 5 other dogs both male and female very happily. He enjoys the company of other dogs but he wouldn’t need to live with a resident dog as he’s just as confident on his own.

Wesley was the perfect gent when meeting the cat for his cat tests, we wouldn’t have expected anything else from this guy, so he could live with a resident cat. 

Wesley has a zest for life most of us can only dream of. He enjoys a bit of everything, walking, playing, eating, relaxing and this is reflected in his well balanced nature. 

Wesley was a firm favourite with our volunteers when they met him so it’s with great pleasure we can say… Wes is ready to go home after 2 years in the shelter. He deserves his chance.
